Useful web apps
Here are a couple of free web apps that can be very useful design tools.
What the Font
What The Font is a free web service offered by MyFont. It allows you to identify a font from a photo or screenshot - much easier than trawling through typeface catalogues.
Here are some screenshots from the iPhone version of the service:
As you can see in the final pic, the app did a good job identifying the typeface.
Multicolr Image Search
The Multicolr search provides a way to find images on Flickr based on colour.

Web Developper Toolbar from firefox plugins is a must for everybody.
Check it out, it is awesome for this unit.

a bit off topic but i sore advertised on TV the iphone can do another similar thing to that ‘what the font’, apparently the iphone can identify a song, simply by holding the phone so it can hear the song you want to know the name of! and the tag line for these adds i think is something like… ’solving the worlds problems one app at a time’
